Hitachi Transport System, Ltd. Opens Tosu Distribution Center (tentative name)

- Making logistics operations more efficient for retail customers in the Kyushu region -

Hitachi Transport System, Ltd. (President & Chief Executive Officer: Takao Suzuki), which offers a "System Logistics service" (3PL) to customers from a wide range of industries, in which it provides comprehensive logistics services for companies and establishes the logistics system most suitable for each company, announces the opening of a new distribution center within Green Logistics Park Tosu in Tosu City, Saga Prefecture.
In this center, we will provide logistics services for Natural Co., Ltd., which has "Drug Stores-Mori" across the Kyushu region. The logistics operations that we are now managing in another center are transferred to the new center in April 2008. We will enhance delivery accuracy in a new way of operations.
Proposing the optimal logistics for customers' business strategy, we are committed to responding to customers' needs.

*Outline of the center is as follows.
This center has not been directly invested in or constructed by Hitachi Transport System. The building has been constructed by ProLogis (Japan Head Office: Higashi-Shimbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo), a provider of distribution facilities, and leased by Hitachi Transport System.
