- Utilizing Know-how on domestic 3PL business -
Hitachi Transport System, Ltd. (President & Chief Executive Officer: Takao Suzuki), which focuses on India as one of priority areas for significant growth of global business, announces an establishment of a new company in India, which is scheduled to start full operation in late this month.
Cooperating with Aspinwall & Co., Ltd., a forwarding company in India, we strive to strengthen and expand our forwarding business by moving ahead with sea & air transportation.
In addition, utilizing accumulated know-how on domestic 3PL business, we will develop a System Logistics service (3PL) globally, in which we provide comprehensive logistics services for companies, targeting Japanese manufacturers of automobiles and household appliances.
After April 2008, we plan to open distribution centers in Mumbai, Noida and Chennai to improve transportation networks in India.
